Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s Business Planning team is seeking a passionate and highly motivated Business Planning Analyst to help drive strategic initiatives and operational excellence.

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating external benchmarking activities, managing VIP visitor requests, and overseeing the reporting and tracking of the company’s Hoshin and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Also leading/influencing/decision making.

Reporting directly to the Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Business Planning department’s mission to align strategic goals with operational execution and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

What you’ll be doing

  • Serve as a Communication Liaison: Facilitate clear and effective communication between TMNA/TMMK (Toyota Motor North America/Toyota Kentucky) and executive leadership, particularly in preparation for and during VIP visits

  • Executive Presentation Development: Create high-quality, executive-level presentations to support strategic messaging

  • Bilingual Translation Support: Provide English-Japanese and Japanese-English translation for documents, meetings, and events as needed

  • Meeting & Workshop Coordination: Assist in planning, organizing, and leading meetings and workshops to ensure smooth execution and productive outcomes

  • Manufacturing Event Coordination: Lead plant-level coordination for manufacturing-related events and initiatives

  • Executive Support: Partner with executive leadership to implement new ideas, processes, and strategic initiatives

  • Executive Reporting: Prepare executive report materials, including PowerPoint presentations, video editing, and other multimedia content

  • KPI Management: Track, analyze, and report daily, monthly, and annual company KPIs; ensure accurate and consistent record-keeping

  • KPI Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve discrepancies in Safety, Production, and Quality KPIs in collaboration with TMNA

  • External Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for external requests from TMNA, including radar charts and escalation matrices

  • Budget Oversight: Manage group budgets and monitor spending to ensure alignment with financial goals

  • Administrative Operations: Oversee daily operations under the guidance of senior leadership, including calendar management, file maintenance, and coordination of annual meetings

  • Travel up to 20% domestically/internationally

  • Process Improvement: Identify and address core issues in business processes to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) or equivalent experience (5+ years) in an administrative role

  • High degree of confidentiality

  • Analytic (data analysis) skills, strategic and creative thinker

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and build consensus with multiple stakeholders

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft office products
