Air Compressor Service Technician (46839)

We are seeking an Air Compressor Service Technician to join General Machinery an MCE company. The Service Technician is responsible for the service and support of all types of air compressors and related compressed air products. Areas of service and support include, but are not limited to, air compressors, compressed air dryers, compressed air accessories, application, troubleshooting, performance evaluation, service maintenance, and proper installation. The Service Technician works directly with customers to provide solutions to a wide array of potentially complicated field issues involving mechanical and electrical failures. The successful candidate will excel in the ability to interact with customers and provide technical solutions in a timely, efficient, and courteous manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Provides on-site technical support and repairs of customer equipment
• Explains system capabilities, operations, features, and benefits to the customer
• Performs preventative maintenance on air compressor products
• Inspects and services air compressors, dryers, and related equipment with a high degree of customer service
• Works safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, manage unused materials, and clean up debris
• Understands customer needs, answers questions, and recommends corrective actions that exceed customer expectations
• Completes all necessary paperwork, including work orders, service orders, customer contracts, and company forms
• Exhibits professional appearance and conduct and provides customers with excellent customer service
• Ability to build trust quickly; interacts and communicates well with customers and coworkers
• Follows all safety procedures, environmental guidelines, and company rules and regulations
• Performs other related duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

• 3 to 5 years’ experience with Rotary Screw and Reciprocating Air Compressors, Controls and Air Dryers. Bonus if applicant has experience with Centrifugal Air Compressors
• Service Technician will be on call 24/7 but will rotate Weekends with other Technicians
• Valid driver’s license and clear driving record required
• Qualified and experienced mechanical and electrical skills

The Hourly Rate for This Position Is

Min $25.00 - Max $37.00
