About the role

Job Description

NetImpact Strategies is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join our talented team supporting Federal mission systems. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience developing secure, scalable applications across the .NET and Java technology stacks. This role requires a developer who can work across the full software development lifecycle — from design and development through deployment and support — while collaborating closely with technical leads, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions that meet Federal performance and security standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain web applications and services using C#, .NET Core/Framework, Java, and Spring Boot
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices for integration across enterprise systems
  • Build and maintain responsive, dynamic front-end applications using Angular, React, or similar frameworks
  • Collaborate with architects and business analysts to translate requirements into technical designs and deliverables
  • Support modernization of legacy systems into cloud-native architectures using Azure or AWS
  • Perform code reviews, unit testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality, maintainable code
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily stand-ups
  • Troubleshoot production issues and support continuous improvement of development processes
  • Maintain compliance with federal cybersecurity and quality assurance standards

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline
  • 5+ years of hands-on software development experience with .NET (C#) and Java (Spring Boot)
  • Strong front-end development skills with Angular, React, or similar modern frameworks
  • Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and object-oriented design principles
  • Proficiency with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
  • Familiarity with Azure or AWS cloud environments and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies
  • US Citizenship required; must be eligible for a Public Trust clearance

Preferred

  • Experience developing applications in a Federal IT consulting environment
  • Knowledge of API gateways, message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and system integrations across .NET and Java
  • Experience with DevSecOps pipelines and automated testing tools
  • Cloud certifications (Azure Developer Associate, AWS Developer, etc.)
  • Familiarity with FISMA, FedRAMP, and NIST compliance standards
