About the Role
 

As an Agile Project Manager within Canon's IT Services PMO, you'll play a key role in delivering complex technology projects that help customers achieve meaningful business outcomes. You'll work across a diverse portfolio of IT software application projects, from planning through to successful delivery.

This is a highly visible, customer-facing role where you'll partner with internal specialists, customers, vendors and senior stakeholders to keep projects on track, manage risks, solve challenges and deliver value. This role can be located in Canberra, Sydney or Perth and reports directly to the Manager PMO.

Scope of the role includes:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple customer projects using Agile delivery practices
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources and quality outcomes
  • Manage scope changes and other project variations following project change control process
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives
  • Build strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders across project lifecycles
  • Proactively identify, manage and mitigate project risks, issues and dependencies
  • Coordinate delivery teams, technical specialists and third-party partners
  • Prepare and present project updates, dashboards and status reports to governance forums
  • Manage project change requests and ensure commercial impacts are appropriately controlled
  • Maintain accurate project forecasts, resource plans and revenue projections
  • Support smooth transitions from project delivery into ongoing operational support

You thrive in fast-paced environments where no two projects are the same. You're comfortable balancing commercial outcomes with customer expectations and have a practical, solutions-focused approach to problem solving.

Most importantly, you're someone who takes ownership, communicates clearly, builds trust quickly and is passionate about delivering quality outcomes for customers.

Key skills and experience include:

  • Minimum 7+ years’ experience as a customer-facing Project Manager delivering complex IT software application projects across mid-market and enterprise environments
  • Proven success leading projects using Agile, Scrum or iterative delivery methodologies
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build credibility across all levels
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities
  • Sound commercial acumen, including budget, forecasting and change control management
  • Strong risk, issue and dependency management capability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including project reporting and presentations
  • Experience using project delivery tool
