• Lead the Project Management Office (PMO) to deliver a world-class learning and research environment

About This Opportunity

The Associate Director will lead the Project Management Office, playing a pivotal role in transforming UQ’s campuses. You will oversee the processes and governance framework required to deliver the annual Capital Investment Plan across all Property & Facilities projects and programs.

As the driving force behind our projects, you will align initiatives with the University’s strategic vision, navigating and managing business and program-level risks and challenges. Your focus will be on continuously enhancing and optimising our efforts. Additionally, you will lead a multidisciplinary team whose efforts support the creation of outstanding spaces for our students and staff.

About You

You will have extensive experience in leading a PMO for major projects/programs of comparable scale and complexity, including executing a pipeline of capital works in a live operational environment. A proven track record in establishing and guiding teams of professionals on major projects/programs, with a focus on supporting and fostering their professional development.

You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to quickly establish credibility and forge lasting relationships with multiple stakeholders, both internally within a matrix structure and externally with joint venture partners. A natural problem-solver with an adaptive and innovative approach to developing and implementing solutions.
