At evo, we’re on the lookout for a skilled and passionate Bike Mechanic to join our dynamic team in Whistler. Whether you’re dialing in high-end mountain bikes or keeping our rental fleet trail-ready, your work will play a key role in delivering unforgettable riding experiences for our customers.
The ideal candidate is not only knowledgeable and experienced with bicycle repair—especially in the world of mountain bikes—but also thrives in a fast-paced, mountain-town environment. What You'll Get to Do:
- Assemble, inspect, diagnose, and tune a wide variety of bicycles, including high-end mountain bikes and e-bikes.
- Execute work orders efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- Communicate clearly with customers about necessary repairs, costs, urgency, and maintenance timelines.
- Assist retail floor staff and customers with bike-related technical questions and recommendations.
- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on the rental fleet under guidance from the Service Supervisor.
- Track, complete, and log fleet servicing tasks.
- Organize rental bike prep for upcoming bookings and ensure bikes are ride-ready.
- Help maintain an accurate inventory of service and rental parts.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment throughout the day.
- Participate in the development and refinement of service standards and training materials.
- Perform light janitorial duties and ensure cleanliness standards are upheld at all times.
- Be the go-to technical expert on all things bike-related.
- Support other departments or areas within the store or distribution center as needed.
- Train to mount skis and assist with ski service during winter (as designated).
- Get involved in evo events and give back through community impact opportunities.
- Offer friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable customer service at all times.
- Support with various tasks as required

Skills & Experience:
- 1+ years of experience as a bike mechanic/technician.
- Proficient in:
Disc brake setup and bleeding
Tubeless tire setup
Derailleur adjustments
Suspension tuning and basic servicing (RockShox, Fox)
Wheel truing and building
