IT Senior Systems Analyst - Remote

Mayo Clinic is seeking a talented and highly motivated individual with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. The focus for this Senior IT Systems Analyst will be to assist us on a multi-year journey to migrate our highly customized Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to a streamlined and Common Service Data Model (CSDM) compliant structure that meets the business needs of Mayo Clinic’s many stakeholders. The best candidate will develop an understanding of operational workflows and CMDB dependencies, be fluent in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies, ServiceNow CMDB Fundamentals, and ServiceNow Common Service Data Model (CSDM) Fundamentals.
Assists with and participates in leadership, coordination and management of activities required to operate, direct or advise a Mayo department or equivalent organizational structure. Coordinates project, division and/or department budgets and provides appropriate financial reports and metrics for making department decisions. Independently manages multiple large-scale internal business projects or single department-scale projects from inception to close, including resource management, risk identification and mitigation, quality assurance and change control. Must have broad knowledge of IT systems and interrelated technical processes in order to make necessary decisions regarding hardware, software or technology agreements. May serve as subject matter expert for requirements gathering for industry proposals on behalf of Mayo Clinic. Routinely interfaces with department committees and executive leadership and provides performance reports with strategic recommendations. May serve as liaison for industry partnerships or as a representative for Mayo Clinic in national industry events. Ensures communication between and among business proponents, stakeholders and Leadership regarding assignments. Leads or contributes to the improvement of established guidelines, tools, templates and methodologies. Demonstrates effective group facilitation, team building and conflict resolution skills. Develops proposals and business plans that ensure quality IT solutions and delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the transformation of the CMDB to align with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
- Analyze, translate, and map CMDB customizations to OOB structures.
- Assist with rationalization of customizations.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and foster relationships to achieve alignment with business objectives.
- Implement best practices to maintain accurate inventory and relationships between IT infrastructure, applications, and services for data completeness and precision.
- Support the design, development, or implementation of automated processes for collecting, populating, and maintaining CMDB data.
- Maintain awareness of technology trends and developments.
- Conduct operational activities.
- Identify opportunities for service and process improvements.

Bachelor’s degree with 5 years technology or business administration experience, OR Associates degree with 7 years technology or business administration experience.
Requirements:
- Experience in maintaining enterprise hardware and software configuration items (CIs), ensuring data integrity, and tracking assets within a ServiceNow CMDB.
- Proficient in CMDB best practices to meet business and IT requirements.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, system security, and troubleshooting.
- Exceptional analytics, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Other qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Management or related field preferred. Excellent communication, organization, problem solving and facilitation skills. Excellent interpersonal skills including conflict resolution. Demonstrated history of continuing education in personnel and administrative processes. Strong understanding of financial concepts, business process, continuous improvement and organizational development. Demonstrated mastery of all requirements detailed in the Systems Analyst job description. Experience working in healthcare technology. Experience with committee and consensus driven organizations. Experience in finance and project management.
