Working Student - Java Backend Engineer in AI@Checkturio

As a Working Student Backend Engineer, you will support our development team in building our microservices, APIs, data layers, mobile apps, and dashboards on the Checkturio SaaS platform.

20 hours per week, Germany (Berlin/Brandenburg), Salary: €19 - €25 per hour depending on experience

Your tasks

• You are a member of the engineering team.
• You implement backend services, features, algorithms and APIs.
• You work closely with mobile & web engineers.
• You optimize solutions to achieve required usability, performance, stability and scalability.
• You participate in Checkturio's ideation and innovation process to launch AI-based automations

Your profile

• You are a student of a bachelor or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• You are a strong programmer in Java and understand algorithms' complexity.
• You are familiar with good coding practices.
• You are familiar with data models and databases i.e. PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• You are familiar with cloud computing platforms such as Google Cloud Platform or AWS.
• Experience with Spring Hibernate or Spring Boot are a plus.
• REQUIRED: permanent residency Berlin/Brandenburg due to the public funds
