Job Description
Procore is looking for a VP of Global Talent Development to shape and implement strategies that will help us develop and retain high-performing employees. To be successful in this role, you should have a solid understanding of full-cycle employee and leader growth, development, and performance along with a strategic mindset to develop a skilled workforce.
This position will report to our Chief People Officer and has the opportunity to work remotely or be based in our headquarters in Carpinteria, CA, or any of our U.S. offices. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the Talent Development function globally, including a 15+ person team with varying levels of employees and leaders
- Accountable for thought leadership and the design, launch, and delivery of company-wide Talent Management and Succession Planning, Performance Management, Learning and Development Strategy, onboarding, training, and other initiatives as identified by the Co leadership team
- Diagnose current and future capability needs based on business priorities and develop relevant talent strategies to deliver on these needs. Must understand the key business goals, and be able to determine the talent and development needs of the business units and support those business goals, both now and in the future
- Drive holistic enterprise onboarding and learning strategies that enable the success of Procore’s growth strategy and individual employees
- Manage the outcomes of talent management practices, including practical succession management, driving career moves and regular local talent discussions, and pressing for development and progression as identified by the plans in place
- Deliver Performance Management outcomes that are effective at creating feedback for employees and driving successful business performance
- Define and standardize key milestones in leader/manager journeys and orchestrate comprehensive learning experiences to steer our leaders and managers along those journeys at all levels of the organization
- Maximize employee impact and early retention through the delivery of a comprehensive onboarding experience that starts from when an employee accepts a job through their first few months at Procore
- Ensure all programs and processes are global by design and design talent development and talent management strategies that take into account regional needs layered with business needs
- Work with vendors and in-house teams to design and deliver compelling and relevant learning experiences and effectively manage and leverage all vendor relationships
- Leverage effective data gathering, analysis, and evaluation of all programming to maximize impact and effectiveness
- Optimize the employee learning and development experience and efficiency of the team through technology, automation, and continuous process improvement
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or Psychology or equivalent; Master’s Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline is a plus
- 12+ years of progressive and successful leadership experience in business and/or human resources
- Proven experience developing, designing, and delivering talent development and talent management programs
- Subject matter expertise in global talent development and talent management principles
- Commitment to challenging the status quo and always striving for progress
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships
- Proven ability to collaborate with all levels of management as a tactical and strategic partner, coach, and advisor
- Experience partnering with all HR Centers of Excellence to integrate talent development and talent management concepts and applications and enhance existing program offerings
- Strong influencing skills — an ability to develop and execute big ideas
- Highly organized, analytical, persuasive, and collaborative
- Strong work ethic, effective conflict resolutions skills, professional transparency, and sound business acumen
- Working knowledge of US, Canada, Asia Pacific, Europe, and Middle East employment practices and cultural approach to talent development and talent management
Additional Information
Base Pay Range $221,200-$304,150. Eligible for Bonus Incentive Compensation. Eligible for Equity Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation, and has provided an estimated pay range for this role.
