What We're Looking For

The Senior Director of National Engagement is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to maintain and increase alumni, parent and friend engagement across Texas and Regional Markets, manage volunteer involvement, and meet annual philanthropic goals. This role involves working closely with the larger Constituent Engagement and Advancement Teams to build a strong Baylor Family network that supports the overarching university's strategic priorities.  Standards for measuring success will follow the CASE Alumni Engagement Metric framework which includes the following areas: Philanthropic, Experiential, Volunteerism, and Communication. 

A bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience are required. A master's degree and seven years of experience are preferred.

A valid Driver License with a clear driving record of at least two years is required. 

Must be able to travel outside of the state of Texas. 

Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a Full-Time basis. 

What You Will Do

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive, regional engagement strategy that includes alumni programming, personalized communications, and volunteer management to strengthen alumni ties and support the university’s fundraising goals.
  • Recruit, train, and manage alumni volunteers to support various university initiatives, ensuring rewarding experiences that foster long-term connectivity and support.
  • Work closely with leadership to integrate alumni engagement activities with annual giving campaigns to increase mid-level giving (generally within the $1,000 - $25,000 range), using clearly defined annual metrics to track productivity and augment long-term, pipeline development.
  • Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders, including faculty, staff, and other alumni relations professionals, to create synergies and leverage opportunities for alumni and philanthropic engagement.
  • Utilize alumni and donor databases to track engagement activities and analyze data to measure success and inform future strategies as well as follow standards set forth within the CASE Alumni Engagement Metric framework.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission.
  • Ability to comply with University policies.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
