Description

YOUR PURPOSE: The Production Manager at Journeyman will improve efficiency, effectiveness, and overall operational performance within the organization.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
LEADERSHIP, MANAGEMENT, AND ACCOUNTABILITY
- Direct and manage the team to follow processes and achieve outcomes.
- Conduct the Journeyman Distillery Employee Experience Ecosystem as per the process with every direct report.
- Manage the resourcing of roles within the department, with a focus on cultural fit.
- Coach team members to effectively complete tasks, communicate effectively with other stakeholders and grow their skills.
- With guidance from the Director, oversee Performance Management of direct reports including terminations, ensuring positive and respectful relationships are maintained.
- Undertake effective delegation and conduct informal on-the-job training for members to increase skills.
PLANNING & RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
- Plan for and oversee the scheduling of manpower and equipment for the production operation (Brewing, Distilling, Warehousing, and Packaging).
- Maintain accountability for the cost, utilization, and performance of employees and equipment.
- Implement and manage waste reduction, innovation, and production improvements.
- Execute daily production and quality entries into database system.
- Manage and execute month-end financial activities and inventory counts.
QUALITY CONTROL
- Create, maintain, and train standard operating procedures, standard work instructions, cleaning logs, and certifications.
- Implement and drive quality, 5S, and safety programs.
- Investigate and resolve complaints regarding spirit quality and presentation/packaging.
