As Senior Communication Channels Manager you manage, shape, and optimize our internal communication channels. You ensure we deliver the best possible employee experience supporting our mission to be the best place to work. You will report to the Head of Digital Communications. This team has three focus areas, internal channels, corporate Philips website and social media. The Digital & Social Media Communications team is part of the Communications Center of Excellence who oversee global Philips strategic communications planning and programs, content strategy and creation, digital and social media communications and related measurement. It is part of Philips’ Communications and Brand function.
Your role:
As an integral member of the Digital & Social Media Comms team, your main responsibilities as Senior Communication channels manager are to:
Develop and manage the channel strategy of our internal communication channels (Intranet, Viva Engage, Mass mail, Narrowcasting etc.).
Provide direction and guidance to optimize the impact and efficiency of communication channels.
Drive efficiency, efficacy, and financial gain by developing and applying standards to our communication channels.
Analyze and provide recommendations for use of channels and content based on data.
Promote and embed best practices of our communication channels into the way of working of our colleagues.
Communicate solutions and recommendations clearly and persuasively within team and to stakeholders.
Provide communication channels support to the communications network.
Help us continuously improve the way we work, and bring new ideas to the table to make best use of our communication channels.
You're the right fit if:
Master’s degree in Communications or a related field
At least 5-7 years of experience in Communications, preferably in a large company
Proven ability to provide (technical) guidance and direction.
Experience in managing relationships with key stakeholders, including agencies and suppliers.
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, seeking consensus and understanding.
Ability to communicate explicitly what must change, why changes are necessary, and possible outcomes and costs.
Ability to work as an integral member of a multifunctional team (ability to lead and follow)
Strong project management, organizational, problem-solving and consultancy skills.
A proactive approach to business, with the ability to respond quickly to issues.
Ability to challenge assumptions about “the way things are done”.
A “can-do” spirit, a sense of optimism, ownership, and strong commitment to achieving goals and organizational success.
Experience in managing internal communication channels, preferably within a large company.
Experience with statistics and ability to translate data into actions
Experience with Scrum Agile working
Fluency in English
