Pratt & Whitney's Mechanical Systems, Externals, and Nacelles (MSEN) organization is seeking a goal-oriented, detail-focused Principal Integrated Product Team Lead in support of Engineering Support to Operations (ESTO). In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for Support to Operations task execution on the Externals Module hardware.

What You Will Do:

  • Coordinate and lead an Integrated Product Team to meet task and technical requirements.
  • Plan and manage the budget for all hardware and tasks.
  • Prepare/present status and technical content to ESTO Leadership, Component Integrated Product Team (CIIPT), and Pratt & Whitney management.
  • Evaluate product improvement opportunities and initiate Class 2 engineering change executions for those initiatives.
  • Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.
  • Travel up to 10% (Domestic and International).

What You Will Learn:

  • Lead a cross-functional team and improve understanding of technical disciplines across the enterprise.
  • Understanding of the MSEN hardware and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Opportunity to participate in product improvement tasks that improve quality, signature, and cost.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 8 years of engineering experience, or an Advanced degree in a related field with 5 years of engineering experience.
  • U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or an Advanced Engineering degree, or a Master's of Business Administration.
  • Experience working in the Aerospace Industry and jet engines.
  • Previous gas turbine compressor experience.
  • Experience with MS Office, Teamcenter, SAP, MS Project, or other scheduling software.

Department/Segment Overview:

  • Mechanical Systems, Externals, & Nacelles (MSEN): The Mechanical Systems, Externals, and Nacelles Engineering organization is responsible for the design, development, and in-service support of power transmission systems, bearing compartment and rotor support design and analysis, oil and thermal management systems, engine externals packaging and architecture, as well as nacelles for commercial and military engine models. Technical disciplines include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, Product Definition, System Modeling, Mechanical Design analysis for bearings, gears, and seals, and fluid-thermal modeling of associated components and systems.

  • Engineering Support to Operations (ESTO): ESTO provides dedicated support by eliminating quality notifications, escapes, works stops and enabling producibility and delivery of legacy and new parts, assemblies, modules, and engines. ESTO covers all engine programs and part families, enabling engine deliveries, first piece reviews, first article inspections, analysis automation, process certification. ESTO also supports the Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) initiative in Operations. Technical disciplines in ESTO include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, Product Definition, and Manufacturing Engineering.
