Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

As a working supervisor, directly supervise medical assistants on various shifts of the Residential and Health Center Units. Act as point person for questions and problem solving of client health needs and work as a part of the leadership team to provide continuity of services in an ethical, legal and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards. The team leader will also complete documentation within specified time frames, provide training, quality assurance, staff supervision, administration, and attend required meetings. Participate as a team member in the delivery and support of health services to clients and their families and to facilitate the issues of recovery into their daily living situations.

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Possess CMA, EMT or CAN certificate with 2+years of experience in supervising a team in a social service setting.
  • Ability to motivate and problem solve with staff to carry out their essential responsibilities.
  • Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and personalities.
  • Skills to adapt verbal and written communication to the language style of the client and/or their family.
  • Ability to coordinate services from a variety of community resources.
  • Good keyboarding skills and understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, ability to learn new computer programs easily.
  • Positive demeanor, empathetic and calm.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to coordinate and motivate staff to achieve recovery orientated expectations.
  • Optimistic, highly organized, flexible, enthusiastic, and outgoing
  • CPR training or complete within three months

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Work hours prescribed by the Nurse Manager and senior leadership as well as any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned.
  2. Oversee, manage, and monitor essential duties of the team.
  3. Ensure compliance with schedules at each unit.
  4. Act as point person for communication and coordination with on-call staff.
  5. Act as a liaison to supervisors on client and staffing issues.
  6. Provide staff with supervision, mentoring, feedback and evaluation.
  7. Supervise and manage the behavior of the clients and provide appropriate behavioral interventions and consequences.
  8. Ensure that client service records are maintained consistent with SUPR, TJC and Medicaid regulations.
  9. Read all logs and obtain pertinent information from staff of previous shifts, counselors, etc.
  10. Ensure accuracy of Program/Unit Census and confirmation of Bed Capacity
  11. Oversee the neatness of the unit and the proper use of the equipment and supplies and inform the proper person when supplies or repairs are indicated.
  12. Serve as a member of the Leadership Team and participate in all team meetings and activities.
  13. Understand and comply with all of the principles established by the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
  14. Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
  15. Serve as a role model for other staff, clients and customers and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance.
  16. Assume other related responsibilities as assigned by management.
