Pricing Analyst - Industrial Distribution

Price Engineering, A SunSource Company, is a leading provider of products, services and information in hydraulics, pneumatics, filtration, automation systems, and related industrial components, serving both the industrial, OEM, MRO, and mobile equipment markets.    

We are currently looking for a Pricing Analyst to support the Pricing Team by providing solutions and fulfilling pricing improvement initiatives.  This position offers a great entry-point opportunity to help accelerate your career.  Specifically, you will:

• Improve profit margins through understanding of our pricing strategy
• Manage and update supplier Price Increase Implementation process to include communication, systems update, and price execution
• Coordinate with Sales Management for maintenance of customer pricing
• Take initiative in identifying and resolving issues around pricing and margin
• Support Pricing Managers with all customer contracts and ensure pricing is consistent with pricing and profitability strategy
• Provide analytical support, reporting, and coordination for Pricing Managers
• Support quote requests process
• Analyze market dynamics, pricing trends, market opportunities, and sales margins in order to develop reports, procedures, and tools for pricing

The qualified individual will have the following skills and experience:

• 1+ years of analytical work experience, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
• Highly motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work well within a team environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment
• High proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel)
• Ability to grasp complex concepts and systems quickly
• Bachelor’s Degree required in Marketing, Business, or Statistics
