The Need 

For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM’s Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, we are seeking a Global Resources Operations Associate to support operational systems and processes across Global Resources, with a particular focus on Trips to the Field and the Speakers Bureau, ensuring effective coordination, communication, and endtoend execution. 

 
This position is hybrid (onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays) if located in the Washington, DC area or remote for nonlocal candidates. It reports to the Global Resource Operations Manager and is only available for candidates with the right to work in the US. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Lead effective project management across Trips to the Field and Speakers Bureau operations; 

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for backend operations management using Smartsheet, SharePoint, and other identified platforms; 

  • Coordinate operational processes, timelines, and workflows to ensure requests and engagements are executed effectively from preparation through closeout; 

  • Partner closely with the Global Survivor Network to ensure policy alignment, consistency, and rightsized endtoend support for Survivor Speaker engagements; 

  • Ensure requesting teams meet training, hosting, and policy requirements prior to engagements; 

  • Drive schedules for itineraries, briefing calls, preparation milestones, and engagement followups; 

  • Support preparation of speaker remarks and coordination with internal stakeholders; 

  • Collaborate with Finance and other internal teams to ensure honorariums and compensation are processed when applicable; 

  • Maintain organized backend data and reporting to support operational efficiency and continuous improvement; and 

  • Participation in IJM’s community of spiritual formation. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 

  • 3–5 years of experience in business operations, logistics, or a related operational role; 

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of projects and tasks simultaneously to completion;
