What to Expect:
We are seeking a Senior Quality Assessor with specialized expertise in harness to evaluate and ensure the quality of suppliers' manufacturing processes and products.
This is an ongoing, as-needed assessment role requiring a one-day commitment. If necessary, we can arrange travel for out-of-state assignments, with all expenses covered. A flat one-day rate will be paid for each assessment.

The Senior Quality Assessor will work closely with suppliers to assess their compliance with industry standards and ensure their processes meet client specifications.

What You'll Do:
- Conduct detailed quality assessments of harness manufacturing processes at suppliers' facilities.
- Evaluate the potential failure mechanisms specific to harnesses components and ensure alignment with industry standards.
- Assess the supplier’s manufacturing processes, quality management systems, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Review and validate supplier documentation, including process flow diagrams, control plans, and quality reports.
- Work closely with suppliers to identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
- Perform in-depth technical analysis and failure mode evaluations for harness assemblies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards such as IPC-A-620 (for harnesses), ISO 9001, and other applicable regulations.
- Provide orientation and training to junior assessors or associates, ensuring adherence to best practices and consistent assessment procedures.
- Liaise with suppliers to facilitate introductions, program orientation, and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) as required.
- Review assessment reports for consistency and alignment with client guidelines, ensuring thoroughness and clarity.
What You'll Need:
- Proven experience as a Senior Quality Assessor with a focus on harness manufacturing.
- Proficiency in using the NADCAP tool for quality assessments and process evaluations is a plus
- Strong understanding of industry standards, including IPC-A-610, IPC-2221, ISO 9001, and others relevant to harness processes.
- Expertise in evaluating and analyzing manufacturing processes, failure modes, and potential risks in harness production.
- Familiarity with tools and methods for assessing product quality and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to recommend and implement corrective actions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers, clients, and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to thoroughly review reports and documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Due to the nature of the products, US Citizenship is also a requirement, and background checks are required
Note: This role is specifically focused on the assessment of harness manufacturing processes. The Senior Quality Assessor will not be conducting general Quality Management System (QMS) audits but will instead focus on ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of the supplier's manufacturing capabilities.
