Mechanical Engineer Intern

Applied Materials’ New Inflection Products (ALD) Team is searching for an intern to join our team in summer 2024! The position will entail the following:

• Assist with engineering teams in tool installation, testing and trouble shooting.
• Lead small development projects involving mechanical designs and analytical calculations.
• Conduct electrochemical testing/analysis.
• Support process engineering through procurement, shipping, and inventory functions

Requirements

• Student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Student must be in good academic standing at their university, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
• Experience in semiconductor processing or manufacturing preferred
• Mechanical engineering experience especially related to vacuum and precision device in a development or manufacturing environment preferred
• Quick learner

Compensation$30 - 36 per hourThe rate offered to a selected candidate will be based on a number of factors including location and education level and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
