About the role

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Brand & Advertising team plays a critical role in the development of marketing efforts and touchpoints acquiring new prospects to the company. You are a talented, versatile marketer, resourceful and eager to learn. You will be part of the Brand & Advertising team within E*TRADE (part of Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management Division) and, as such, have a passion for the E*TRADE brand and advertising, the customer and competitive insights that go into it, and the marketing strategy/channels that drive it.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The ideal candidate will have financial services knowledge (nice to have) and have worked at an ad agency or on the client side. He or she will be able to jump in and take on a range of assignments, including:

  • Work directly with agency partners, managing them on key advertising projects and deliverables from strategy, creative development and production

  • Digital experience is a must; ideally understanding of paid channels (social and display), website also a plus

  • Oversee creative performance reporting for paid digital channels (social and display) including working with agency on monthly and quarterly performance reports

  • Become an expert on the E*TRADE brand and maintain and update brand assets, guidelines, and templates to ensure current materials are available to the organization. Manage internal brand reviews to ensure consistent application of the brand.

  • Steward brand projects from kick-off through legal review and activation (for example, product naming)

  • Partner closely with internal and external teams to ensure creative aligns with brand principles including tone of voice, imagery

  • Help project manage key brand and advertising campaigns

  • Partner with other lines of business to develop product-specific advertising (for example Bank advertising)

  • Develop compelling presentations in .PPT that tell a clear story – answering specific briefs, showcasing our work, etc.

  • Collaborate with other Wealth Management and Firmwide teams to ensure connectivity and integration acoss brands

  • Work on special projects, as needed

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED OR PREFERRED:

  • 3-5 years of experience

  • Deep understanding of online best practices and marketing principles

  • Ability to get up to speed quickly in adopting the E*TRADE from Morgan Stanley style and tone

  • Highly organized with strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Careful attention to detail

  • Team player, hard-working, resourceful

  • Proactive, problem-solving mentality with ability to manage and complete projects independently

  • Creatively driven with the ability to dive in and develop mockups, source stock imagery/footage, etc. as needed to support the team - informal design experience a plus

  • Proficiency in PPT

  • Experience with Canva a plus

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 and $100,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
