Executive Director, People Analytics & Insights

               

People & Organization (Human Resources) at Sony Pictures Entertainment is optimizing our use of HR platforms including Workday, ServiceNow and Cornerstone, and creating streamlined ecosystems that enhance digital experience for all workers in the organization. This individual, reporting to the Senior Vice President, People Solutions, will leverage their technology and business acumen to expand Sony Picture’s people analytics capabilities and provide relevant insight for the People & Organization team and leaders across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of people-related measures, including HR metrics, and data analysis. They will be proactive and anticipatory in approach, will exemplify an energetic, poised, and positive demeanor, and will demonstrate the ability to balance multiple priorities and work well in a diverse, fast-paced, team environment.

Core Responsibilities:

Strategy and Roadmap: Develop a comprehensive people analytics and data strategy that supports immediate needs and expands as new insights are uncovered. Using this strategy, define priorities and shape a people analytics roadmap that focuses on continuous improvement.

Analytics Delivery: Leverage their team and technology partners to deliver people analytics dashboards and models that present data in a meaningful and actionable framework. Support team members providing specific analysis to P&O centers of excellence.

Employee Sentiment: Design and optimize employee sentiment surveys to meet evolving business needs. Lead the sentiment collection process, including annual and pulse surveys. Identify opportunities to leverage sentiment to further organizational insights.

Consultation: Develop and conduct regular updates with P&O leadership to share key people metrics and insights. Drive outcomes in the business by consulting with business partners regarding how data & analytics can enable change within their organizations.

Data Governance: Collaborate with subject matter experts across P&O to promote the data governance & stewardship necessary to improve overall operational performance and provide insights.

Tools & Services: Design and oversee the vision, roadmap, implementation, and support for reporting & analytics tools and services. Act as a subject matter expert on P&O technology projects as related to reporting & analytics.

  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and consulting skills. Ability to assess needs, influence, collaborate, deliver, and partner at the most senior levels in the organization

  • High-impact communication skills with the ability to present complex data in logical, concise, and thoughtful ways; ability to speak clearly in groups and through formal and informal written documents

  • Strong technical and tactical skills combined with strategic vision, sound business acumen, and keen analytic ability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree

  • Experience with Workday/Prism, ServiceNow, Tableau, Qualtrics, Snowflake, PowerBI

  • At least 7 years of experience in roles responsible for people analytics, data science, or related discipline

  • At least 5 years of Leadership experience, preferably in media and entertainment

  • More than 3 years of demonstrated experience developing a people analytics practice within an established organization

  • More than 3 years of demonstrated experience developing people / HR metrics, key performance indicators, and data elements with associated data and trend analysis

                  

The anticipated base salary for this position is $219,400 to $254,200. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits.
