This position is available to Virginia residents as Richmond, VA in-office/hybrid applicants as well as remote applicants residing in Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, and Washington DC.

YOUR ROLE
Genworth is seeking a Senior Manager, Benefits Delivery to join our team. In this position you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administration of benefits company wide, ensuring understanding of benefits offered. In addition, you will lead the team that manages our core benefit offerings and will be the primary contact for HR, People Managers, and the Total Rewards team. You will also partner with third party benefit administrators to facilitate relationships and ensure accuracy and efficiency in reporting and plan management. This is a managerial position that requires initiative and independent judgment in managing, administering, developing improvements, and coordinating the day-to-day activities of Genworth’s various health insurance and retirement programs. An employee in this position is responsible for maintaining contacts with vendors providing insurance and benefit related programs. As a Human Resources team member, you’ll help create the culture and employee experience that enables and inspires us to do our best each day in serving our customers, communities, and each other—now and in the future.
What you will be doing
• Manage and support the Benefits Delivery team members to ensure smooth program operations.
• Drive the execution of new benefit programs as determined by the Director of Employee Benefits and the Vice President, Total Rewards including healthcare, retirement & 401k, wellbeing, and ancillary benefits.
• Assist in creating and leading ongoing education efforts on Benefit Programs which could include roadshows, webcasts, attending staff meetings, and working with our Training and Development teams to create learning modules or develop class materials.
• Manage relationships and deliverables with external vendors and quickly identify areas of concern to recommend appropriate corrective actions. Ensure assigned vendor compliance with HIPAA, ERISA, ACA and other regulations.
• Participate in key surveys, investigate trends and best practices and partner with internal team members and external experts to bring recommendations to leadership.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in the operational delivery of our programs and offerings.
• Oversee annual enrollment efforts by supporting team with timing, communications and system testing to ensure a smooth, positive employee experience.
• Work with internal and external legal resources and consultants to ensure programs are legally compliant and oversee all benefit compliance efforts.
• Work with the team to prepare, with appropriate approval, amended plan documents, contracts, SOWs & work orders, etc.
• Support and advise on international benefit programs as needed
• Support Benefit and Fiduciary Investment Committee material creation. May also participate in presentation of materials.
What you bring
• 8+ years of progressively increasing responsibility related to benefits, and 401(k) plan administration experience to include analysis, plan design and program administration.
