General Summary of Duties: Authorizes jackpots; corrects minor electronic gaming device malfunctions; performs and responds to patrons needs.
Typical Physical/Mental Demands: Requires mobility, prolonged walking and standing one hundred (100) percent of the scheduled shift; requires lifting up to sixty-five (65) pounds repeatedly during shift; requires bending and reaching over inside of slot machine; requires reaching, kneeling and bending; requires pulling coin hoppers from machines weighing up to fifty (50) pounds; requires eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity; requires normal vision and hearing range; requires the use of a radio and pager; requires the use of basic math skills; requires the ability to distinguish letters; numbers and symbols; communicate directly and telephonically with patrons, management and staff in English; understands and complies with polices and procedures, job description, chemical labels and other instructions.
Typical Working Conditions: Work is performed on the casino floor; constant heavy patron contact required; and ability to tolerate varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality, including tobacco smoke.
Example of Duties (includes but is not limited to the following):
- Understand and adhere to all Grand Victoria Casino and Slot Department standards, policies and procedures.
- Obtain a strong understanding of the applicable Internal Control Systems (ICS) and Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS).
- Authorize jackpots.
- Correct minor electronic gaming device malfunctions such as voucher replacement.
- Performs all other tasks as assigned in the future.
Performance Requirements (knowledge, skills and abilities): Ability to read, write and speak English; knowledge of basic math skills; ability to make change with currency and coin; ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with management, staff, co-workers and patrons; have the ability to work in a stressful, high volume, energetic atmosphere; team oriented; ability to understand questions and instructions from supervisors and co-workers; enjoys working with and assisting people; ability to work flexible shifts.
Qualifications: High school diploma/GED required.
Certificate/License: Level 2 Occupational License with Illinois Gaming Board.
Salary Range: $9.00 per hour (plus pooled tips)
