POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Psychology Department at Montclair State University is pleased to invite applications for a full-time, 10 months, non-tenure track, Assistant Teaching Professor position in School Psychology, to begin in September 2025. We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative colleague, who is preferably a New Jersey licensed (or license eligible) psychologist with school psychology certification to join our nationally accredited program. The position includes teaching, supervising and advising in the school psychology program (SPP) as well as assisting with administrative tasks required for accreditation such as data collection for annual reports. The School Psychology program is well-supported by an engaged faculty that take pride in its diverse student population, many of whom were first-generation college students, and in students’ satisfaction with the program. Position is a two-year, ten-month, non-tenure track appointment, with eligibility for reappointment based on established NTTP procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

Successful applicants will have a doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field from a NASP or APA accredited program. Applicants should be a New Jersey licensed (or license eligible) psychologist with school psychology certification (e.g., New Jersey certification or NCSP credential) with a working knowledge of New Jersey Special Education Code. Preference will be given to applicants with experience working as a school psychologist in public school settings.
