Sr. Safety Operations Manager, DMS

Overview:

The Senior Safety/Operations Manager DMS has a key role at Centerline serving as a multipurpose resource for our team, clients and driver workforce. SOM is client facing and considered a value add to our large clients. This role supports DMS driver force of over 800 EE. Daily interaction with key clients and support of on-site operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES 

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Ensure a safe and compliant workplace for our drivers and on-site operations
• Provide operational support to large client locations, including onsite training activities
• Provide support on all start up locations, including process documentation and implementation of new processes, including in cab technology, telematics and logistics management systems
• Establishes and coordinates DMS safety calendar and assigns safety related training
• Supports Vice President and Presidents safety objectives and provides data to leadership
• Liaison between Centerline and senior customer ops and safety teams
• Key collaboration at customer meetings including business reviews and operations meetings
• Responsible for DMAIC process (define, measure, analyze, improve, control) necessary to improve business performance
• Key member of DMS leadership team
• Travel required 

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE 

• High School diploma required
• 4-year degree preferred
• Ability to obtain CTP (Certified Transportation Professional)
• 5 years minimum fleet management experience
• 2 years minimum transportation safety trainer 
• Six Sigma or Kaizen experience preferred

CORE KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS

• Must have expert level knowledge of FMCSA rules and regulations and OSHA requirements
• Hands on experience with Hours-of Service, Electronic Logging Devices, Drugs and Alcohol Clearinghouse, CSA scores and post-accident investigations.
• Strong project management skills
• Experienced in process management
• Ability to extract data from Safer and provide reporting to leadership 
• Strong business acumen and ability to work well with teams, clients and workforce
• Proven ability to diagnose problems using critical thinking skills and identify and drive appropriate solutions
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft: Word, Excel, Outlook and PPT, Oracle, etc. TMW.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will directly manage 15 on-site teams and be responsible for development of workforce

Salary Range: $94,500 - $118,100 annually, depending on experience and geographic location plus eligibility for incentive pay, subject to plan terms.
