Join Our Team as a Senior Health, Safety, and Environmental Engineer!
Are you passionate about creating a safe and sustainable workplace? We’re looking for a dynamic Senior Health, Safety, and Environmental Engineer to champion health, safety, and environmental awareness across our organization.
What You’ll Do:
- Cultivate a Safety Culture: Develop and nurture a strong health, safety, and environmental culture within the plant departments.
- Training & Campaigns: Lead engaging training sessions, organize impactful campaigns, and regularly share vital HSE information with employees.
- System Management: Design, implement, and maintain our local HSE Integrated Management System in line with corporate policies and international standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001).
- Legal Compliance: Ensure compliance with Romanian and European HSE regulations and corporate policies at the plant level.
- Risk Management: Support risk assessments, machinery safety, contractor safety, and more at the department level.
- Emergency Preparedness: Coordinate and test our emergency response system through drills and simulations, ensuring all equipment is maintained and ready.
- Training & Liaison: Train internal emergency response teams and liaise with local authorities for audits and inspections.
- Project Involvement: Act as a loss prevention and environmental advisor in project management.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement of our HSE Management System through audits, inspections, and employee coaching.
What We Need:
- Educational Background: Technical University Degree.
- Certifications: Labor protection inspector, risk assessor, fire inspector, and internal/external auditor for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
- Experience: 4-5 years in HSE, preferably in automotive, oil & gas, or manufacturing sectors.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills in English, both technical and non-technical. Strong computer and organizational skills. Analytical and problem-solving abilities. Public speaking and coaching skills.
- Mindset: High energy and a positive, “can-do” attitude.
