How you make a difference: As Director, Community Oral Health within Cook Children’s Center for Community Health (C4CH), you provide strategic direction for oral health initiatives, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations while aligning with Cook Children’s broader strategies. This role involves developing and evaluating regular strategic plans, promoting programs and services to stakeholders, and maintaining procedures for effective collaborations. You’ll lead the recruitment, training, and evaluation of oral health staff, fostering a supportive and diverse team environment. You will also lead the day-to-day operations of key oral health programs and initiatives, develop and manage budgets, and stay informed on industry trends to ensure program and collaboration effectiveness. Additionally, you ensure accurate documentation and compliance, create and collaborate on reports, and present/communicate successes to multiple audiences and stakeholders. You will develop and maintain partnerships and represent Cook Children’s and the Center for Community Health within the 8-county primary service region on local boards and committees.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree required in health care, counseling, social work, public/community health, education, or related field. Doctorate degree preferred.

• At least five years of experience in program service management and/or community-based or social service engagement work required.

• Minimum of five years of administrative and management experience including staff supervision, budget management and employee engagement required.

• Experience with pediatric or family populations, working with multiple community partners, and addressing the social determinants of health preferred.

• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and community organizations.

• Excellent writing skills and ability to effectively evaluate work developed by department staff.

• Knowledge of oral health care delivery systems and public/community health principles.

• Requires some weekend/evening work and routine travel in the 8-county service area (Collin, Denton, Grayson, Hood, Johnson, Parker, Tarrant, and Wise counties)

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification

• Current Driver’s License with clean driving record

• Private, reliable transportation capability
