At MAC Supply & Hardware we are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Seasonal Store Clerk to join our hardware store team. This role involves assisting customers, stocking shelves, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Job Summary: As a Seasonal Store Clerk, you will be a vital part of our team, responsible for providing friendly and efficient customer service, assisting with sales, stocking shelves, and maintaining the store's cleanliness and organization.

Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with product selection and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their shopping experience.
• Operate all point-of-sale equipment and process all types of transactions, including cash, credit card, debit card, and house accounts. Provide accurate sales transactions to all customers.
• Stock shelves and ensure merchandise is displayed attractively.
• Mix paint and create keys according to customer specifications.
• Be able to answer a variety of basic questions concerning merchandise and its location in the store.
• Answer phones promptly and transfer customers to the correct department.
• Promote store loyalty programs and seasonal promotions.
• Adhere to all store policies and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Outstanding customer service skills and a professional attitude.
• Team player with a willingness to contribute wherever needed.
• Good math and cash register skills.
• Have a general understanding of store merchandise with a willingness to continually expand knowledge.
• Capacity to follow through on assignments and self-motivated to stay busy throughout the day.
• Able to work flexible hours, including weekends.
• Able to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and management.
• Able to lift and handle products of varying weight as needed to carry out cashier duties.
• Understand how to efficiently operate the store’s point-of-sale system. 
• Must be at least 14 years or older (for part-time seasonal role).

Hours:

·       This is a seasonal, part-time position. ·       Flexible schedule with up to 20 hrs/week
