Job Overview: As the General Manager of Supply Chain, you will be responsible for leading and managing the end-to-end supply chain operations to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. You will play a key role in strategic planning, process optimization, and the development of a high-performing supply chain team.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

Develop and implement the overall supply chain strategy aligned with organizational goals.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure synchronization of supply chain activities with business objectives.

Operations Management:

Oversee procurement, production, inventory management, and distribution processes.

Optimize the supply chain network for cost-effectiveness and responsiveness.

Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve supply chain performance.

Supplier Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms.

Evaluate supplier performance and implement improvements as necessary.

Work to ensure a diversified and resilient supplier base.

Logistics and Distribution:

Manage transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.

Implement best practices for inventory control and demand planning.

Technology and Systems:

Identify and implement supply chain technologies to enhance efficiency and visibility.

Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements to maintain a competitive edge.

Team Leadership:

Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing supply chain team.

Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.

Provide leadership and guidance to ensure team members meet performance goals.

Risk Management:

Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies for potential disruptions in the supply chain.

Monitor global and local economic trends that may impact the supply chain.

Compliance and Sustainability:

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Implement and promote sustainable and environmentally friendly supply chain practices.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field or 7-10 years related experience.

Proven experience in supply chain management, with a track record of successful leadership.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Familiarity with supply chain software and technologies.
