This Manager IT role is for the Hospital Billing Team, and this role manages 8 FTEs and 1 contractor in support of the Epic hospital billing module. This role is key to developing the people on the hospital billing team. The role plans and resources projects, manages weekly operations of Epic Hospital Billing support, and plays a key role in executing on various current projects such as the implementation of Beaker. The role works with operations to make changes to support their operational needs and regulatory requirements. This role participates in the on call schedule for Epic Hospital Billing..
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Managing IT staff by recruiting and training employees, communicating job expectations, assigning projects/tasks, and monitoring performance.
• Ensures staff alignment with mission and strategic plan
• Ensures staff compliance with budgets, resource allocation, operational plans, and policies.
• Ensures that projects stay on track and regularly communicates status to department leadership and business/operational leaders.
• Regularly review/implement advances in technology and industry best practices.
• Assists with preparation of operating and capital budgets following established guidelines and using benchmark data.
