The Opportunity

Abbott is hiring an IT Business Systems Analyst for our Business Technology Solutions team. The IT Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for building and implementation of next generation technology for the Marketing and Investor areas. Including but not limited to Generative AI evaluations, certificate automations, and new age advertising technology enablement. The IT Business Systems Analyst position within the Corporate IT Business Relationship Management team will support corporate functions including Global Marketing & External Affairs, Investor Relations, and Corporate Relations. This position works out of our Abbott Park, IL location and will participate in exciting and meaningful projects setting the course for the next generation of technology at Abbott.

What You’ll Work On

• As the Associate Business Systems Analyst, you’ll work directly with internal clients to develop and understand the business case and business requirements to formulate an IT solution for a business problem.
• Assists in the liaison activities between the IT and business areas. 
• Analyzes business processes; documents business requirements; identifies alternative solutions, assesses feasibility and makes recommendations typically seeking to exploit and leverage new or existing IT technology components.
• Develops documentation (specifications, logic flows, test scripts, etc.)
• Formulates original solutions in troubleshooting non routine problems and researching customer questions.
• Develops test plans and conducts the necessary tests to confirm design requirements.
• Prepares, develops and conducts clients and systems training.

Core Job Responsibilities:

• Interface with other disciplines, customers, internal clients, project staff and internal and external experts as required.
• Partners with Corporate service providers to investigate alternatives, which use of existing applications.
• Conducts training with peers and business partners.
• Manages initiatives according to milestones and within budget constraints.
• Identifies and implements process improvements.
• Independently conceives and develops general approaches to develop business requirements and business use cases.
• Determines and develops approach to identify root cause of issues. Propose solutions and properly document and follow processes through to resolution. 
• Completes project tasks within time and budget constraints.
• Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
• Works with minimal management direction.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• 0-2+ Years IT systems Business Systems Analyst experience

The base pay for this position is

$50,000.00 – $100,000.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
