We are looking for a talented Legal Counsel / Senior Legal Counsel to join our Regulatory & Legal Advisory team. The position is fixed-term, starting in January and ending in December 2025. This is an opportunity for you to work in an international, dynamic and strategically important area for the Bank.
As a Legal Counsel / Senior Legal Counsel, you'll be providing high quality legal services to business in close cooperation with them and other lawyers in a transforming business and challenging regulatory environment.

About this opportunity
You will join Regulatory & Legal Advisory team where we provide legal support in strategically important regulatory areas including financial crime prevention, data privacy, competition & antitrust as well as employment & reward, across all bank and group functions and several jurisdictions within EU/EEA. Our services relate to all types of banking services, both private and corporate customer segments and to all group functions. You will provide legal support in financial crime prevention and data privacy areas.
What you’ll be doing:
- Legal & strategic advisory: Support business areas and group functions by providing professional legal advice and guidance in relation to the various issues which arise from the day-to-day operations and business.
- Legal interpretation: Assessing and informing internal stakeholders on relevant laws, regulations and market practices in order to enhance awareness of legal risks and opportunities.
- Project management: Participating and managing cross -functional and international regulatory projects, in close collaboration with colleagues across the legal department and other group functions.

Your profile and background:
- Finnish Master´s degree in law
- 3+ / 7+ years of relevant work experience
- Excellent Finnish and English skills, written and oral
- High level of integrity, excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to break down complex information in an understandable way
- True team spirit, an open mind and positive attitude
