Job Description Summary

The Manager, Enterprise Imaging Applications reports to the Director, Perioperative, Procedural, & Enterprise Imaging Applications as part of the MUSC Associate CIO Applications team supporting MUSC’s clinical, research, and academic missions. This role provides oversight and leadership of the clinical applications team and for the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of all applications within the portfolio. This role manages the people, processes, and technology components of designated procedural applications. Areas of focus may include but are not limited to the following: Epic specialty applications (e.g., Epic Radiant), Sectra PACS, Hyland Acuo VNA, Hyland NilRead Enterprise Viewer, Nuance PowerScribe One, TeraRecon, Siemens Syngo.Via, Siemens TeamPlay, Philips DynaCAD, PenRad, MagView, Bayer Radimetrics, Circle CVI, Butterfly Network, Nuance PowerShare, Life Image MIES, and other similar/associated supporting applications and technologies.

This role provides oversight and leadership of the clinical applications team and for the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of all applications within the portfolio.  This role manages the people, processes, and technology components of designated procedural applications. Additional Job Description

Required Education/Skills/Work Experience:

A bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, management information systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience (Masters preferred).  A minimum of seven years’ experience delivering and supporting healthcare systems/applications.  Ten years of experience with clinical information system support may be considered as equivalent in lieu of a bachelors’ degree.  

 Required experience/skills: 

·         Strong interpersonal and leadership skills 

·         Experience with client relations and relationship building

·         Ability to fact find and develop a strategy to grow teams and applications

·         Presentation and communication (written/verbal) skills

 Preferred experience/skills: 

  • Experience deploying and managing/supporting Sectra PACS, Nuance PowerScribe One, Hyland Acuo VNA, and Hyland NilRead in a high-availability configuration within an academic medical center
  • Experience with Epic with at least one Epic certification; Epic Radiant certification preferred
  • Experience implementing and supporting DICOM, HL7, and biomedical device integrations
  • Intermediate/advanced knowledge and experience with high-availability Microsoft Windows Server & SQL Server architecture/management concepts and client/server best practices
  • Intermediate/advanced understanding of networking concepts (VPN, firewall, etc.) to inform/guide design, deployment, & troubleshooting of application and device integrations (client/server, cloud)
  • Knowledge and understanding of radiology, cardiology, and related specialty imaging operational processes, workflows, regulatory requirements, and best practices
  • Experience managing/executing large-scale image migrations; navigating master patient index crosswalks, identifier reconciliation, etc.
  •   Demonstrated experience implementing and/or upgrading integrated complex large-scale applications in at least one healthcare system
  •  Demonstrated large-scale project management/project delivery experience, preferably in IT and/or healthcare
  •  Experience utilizing Service Now for incident management, service catalog request fulfillment, and
