Staff Software Engineer - Full Stack

Join our fast-paced team building innovative security products using LLMs/AI. You'll own the full development lifecycle, from strategy to code, and collaborate across teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions.

In This Role, You Will:

• Lead full product development for new features.
• Work with stakeholders to define and solve problems.
• Iterate on designs with research/design teams.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers.

Your Background:

• 5+ years engineering experience (excluding internships) in product-driven companies.
• Experienced building products from scratch (plus).
• Proficient in JavaScript/React and a backend language (Python).
• Database experience like Postgres/MySQL/MongoDB/LanceDB.
• Experienced with DevOps tools like terraform is a plus.
• Experienced with k8s is a plus.
• Interest in AI/ML.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of software development best practices (testing, code reviews, CI/CD).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $179,500-$219,300. Fortinet offers employees a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k), 11 paid holidays, vacation time, and sick time as well as a comprehensive leave program.

Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.

All roles are eligible to participate in the Fortinet equity program, Bonus eligibility is reviewed at time of hire and annually at the Company’s discretion.
