Onsite – Torrance, CAMoog Military Aircraft has an immediate opening for a Senior Site Environmental Engineer. The role will report to our EHS and Facilities Manager. You will have a 9/80 schedule and work onsite at our facility in Torrance, CA.

To be considered for the Senior Site Environmental Engineer role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:
Bachelor of Science Degree in the field of Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science or EHS Management.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of environmental and safety regulatory compliance, preferably in manufacturing setting.
Proven capabilities/competencies in waste management, emergency response to chemical spills, and Cal OSHA compliance.
Experience with South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) rules and regulations. Extensive knowledge and experience with Rule(s) 1469 and 1469.1.
Proven capabilities/competencies in California regulatory requirements which the site must manage its operations within.
Strong expertise in regulatory knowledge of California and possess strong interpersonal skills for the successful implementation and maintenance of comprehensive environmental and/or safety management systems.
Able to climb ladders, wear respiratory protection to participate in the cleanup of Level C hazard chemical spills. This position is expected to work with and around toxic chemicals like cyanide, cadmium and hexavalent chromium.
Compliance experience in Dangerous Good Transportation (DGT) and DOT regulations.
It’d be great if you also had:
Experience in aerospace or other highly regulated industry, specifically plating and or processing.
Capabilities/competencies in Building Strategic Working Relationships, Planning and Organizing, Customer Focus.

Prefer 24-hour certification for HAZWOPER. Incident Command certification preferred.
As a Senior Site Environmental Engineer, you will:
Lead environmental compliance efforts at Moog Torrance, ensuring adherence to air quality, stormwater, wastewater and hazardous waste regulations across multiple departments and processes.
Manage compliance and recordkeeping for associated regulations and permits
Manage environmental projects, including permitting, hazardous material reporting, and spill response planning.
Conduct environmental risk assessments and audits, identify areas for improvement through process improvements and ensuring compliance with federal and local standards.
Serve as the primary contact and liaison for regulatory agencies, facilitating inspections and submitting required reports.
Support Corporate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) objectives
Provide environmental training to the facility.
Manage and assure that Federal and State environmental and safety regulations applicable to the site are met.
Develop, manage and implement site specific Environmental policies and training programs to assure compliance with the Site, Business Group and Corporate Environmental/ Safety requirements.
Required to partner with all functional managers /supervisors on site to plan and implement regulatory requirements.
Lead role in representing the site during any compliance audits, both internal and external. Responsible for assuring audit findings are properly responded to, followed up on and corrected in a timely fashion.
Coordinate and manage the Sites’ emergency planning, including being available 24/7 for responding to site chem
