The role of Undergraduate Global eCommerce Intern is intended to start in Summer 2025.

About the Safety & Industrial Business Group:

The Safety and Industrial Business Group (SIBG) at 3M offers a diverse range of products designed to enhance safety, productivity, and efficiency across various industries. Key product categories include personal safety (respiratory, hearing, eye, and fall protection), abrasives (coated, bonded, and non-woven), adhesives and tapes (industrial adhesives and various tapes), electrical markets (electrical tapes, wire connectors, and cable management), automotive aftermarket (collision repair and automotive tapes and adhesives), and industrial and safety markets (safety solutions and industrial maintenance products).

An internship is a temporary position within 3M. Interns typically work a full-time schedule throughout a 10-12 week assignment. This position is limited to working 899 hours per service credit year.

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career.

As an Undergraduate Data/Pricing Analyst Intern, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• 3M Brand Page Activation/Update:

  • Collaborate with prioritized distributors to activate and update the 3M Brand Page.

  • Ensure the brand page reflects the latest products, promotions, and brand messaging.

• Web and Social Media Asset Development:

  • Create engaging web content and social media assets designed to drive traffic to key 3M product pages and the brand page.

  • Implement creative strategies to enhance online visibility and engagement.

• Email Marketing Content Development:

  • Develop compelling email marketing content to be included in distributor newsletters and email blasts.

  • Tailor content to highlight key products, promotions, and brand initiatives.

• Project manage Distributor Onboarding for 'Where to Buy' Platform:

  • Assist in onboarding two distributors onto the 3M 'Where to Buy' platform.

• Online Promotion Capabilities Gathering:

  • Reach out to three distributors to gather their capabilities and requirements for an online-only promotion.

  • Compile and analyze data to recommend strategies for successful promotions.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree, or higher, from an accredited institution.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Strong interest in eCommerce and digital marketing.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to create compelling digital content.

• Familiarity with social media platforms and email marketing tools.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Work location:

• Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Austin, TX at least 2-3 days per week)

• Austin, TX

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic travel
