Project Manager (0018)
OCT Consulting is an SBA-certified, 8(a) small business management and technology consulting firm that provides support to Federal Government clients. We provide consulting services in the areas of Strategy, Process Improvement, Change Management, Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, and Information Technology.
Responsibilities and Duties
We currently have an opening for a Project Manager, with the opportunity for growth and increased responsibility supporting other requirements. In this role, you must:
- Manage a geographically separated team, including teaming partners, focused on supporting a client’s varied and specialized staffing requirements
- Function as a working leader/project manager by developing work products, facilitating and leading recurring meetings, developing and delivering senior level briefings, managing budgets, and coordinating all deliverables across multiple task orders
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with senior government officials on a regularly scheduled basis
- Identify, research, and lead efforts to arrange new teaming partnerships to support emerging staffing requirements
- Provide clear leadership, technical direction, and guidance to contractor personnel
- Be prepared to support additional corporate-level assignments, to include emergent project management responsibilities, research and analysis, recruiting, proposal writing, strategic planning, etc.
- Support corporate staff on activities including recruiting, program/project management support, proposal writing, process mapping, and other activities, as required
Qualifications and Skills
- Not less than three (3) years of project management experience; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred)
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field; additional project management experience may substitute for degree requirement
- Experience in project planning, stakeholder engagement, and preparing executive-level briefing materials
- Recruiting and/or Human Resources experience (preferred)
- Familiarity with federal government civilian personnel hiring/staffing processes (preferred)
- Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Strong self-management skills to adhere to schedules and perform independently with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in MS Office, in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint
- Must be able to obtain or retain a Public Trust clearance.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary Range: $85,000-$115,000
