Position Summary: The Clinical Services Specialist will play an integral role in developing and executing enterprise-wide goals of Clinical Programs and Specialty Techniques and aligning clinicians’ specialization goals to training needs and clinical care quality. The Clinical Services Specialist will be responsible for designing and delivering clinical specialization training while considering the science, informatics, incentives, and culture supporting a learning healthcare system at Athletico.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides oversight to assigned clinical programs and specialty techniques including Clinical Program leaders, clinical service delivery, education, training, development, and new patient growth.
  • Works directly with clinicians, clinical operations, and resource center departments to deliver best in class clinical training to support specialization that aligns with business priorities to build the best team and deliver exceptional patient experiences.
  • Leads and supports development of organizational clinical training needs with assigned clinical programs and specialty techniques ensuring training curriculum is appropriate for all clinical disciplines and levels of experience including entry-level, intermediate, and master clinicians.
  • Develops in collaboration with marketing and sales the Clinical Program and Specialty Technique campaign and content strategy supporting consumer awareness and new patient growth.
  • Leads and provides oversight to baseline concussion testing service line including ideation, activation, and implementation of technology to support service delivery.
  • Works in conjunction with Clinical Operations to deliver clinical programs and specialty techniques growing clinician participation, driving retention, and to delivering on quality clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
  • Conducts organizational needs assessments to evaluate and identify clinical specialization opportunities to scale clinical programs and specialty techniques, modify clinical training curriculums to maximize learning, and implement training programs to support the delivery of exceptional patient experiences and clinical outcomes.
  • Coordinates and manages event calendar for in-house clinical program courses, webinars, and journal clubs.
  • Proactively stays informed of the latest clinical services, equipment, and technology and partners to evaluate opportunities and implement them within the organization.
  • Supports Resource Center functions, including but not limited to Marketing (website & marketing material content), Human Resources (recruitment efforts), Finance & Accounting (financial management of continuing education courses, expense approvals), Sales (referral lead generation and differentiation), Clinical Operations, and IT (EMR template design and referral tracking).

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy with an Associates, Bachelor’s, Master’s, or clinical Doctorate degree.
  • Work Experience:
    • 3 years’ experience in the field of outpatient orthopedic Physical or Occupational Therapy required.
    • 2 years’ supervisory/leadership experience required.
    • 1 year of experience in business development related to clinical services required.
    • 1 year of experience in developing and delivering educational or clinical training programs required.
    • 1 year of experience creating and administering education and training within a learning management system required.
  • Certification/Licensure:
    • Licensed or eligible for license to practice physical or occupational therapy where duties are performed.
  • Knowledge and Technical Skills:
    • Strong demonstrated communication skills, mentoring and leadership skills required.
    • Proficient in Microsoft 365 products and delivering presentations.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
