Manager Nursing - Progress Care

Plans, supervises, and evaluates the delivery of nursing care, the performance of assigned staff, and unit management 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, for designated clinical area(s).  Works closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure continuity of care across the continuum.  Minimal supervision required.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, for:
  • Hospital/Clinic.
  • Invasive and Non-Invasive Cardiac Services Education and Research.
  • Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
  • Pediatric Emergency Department.
  • Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit.
  • JACC, Within 2 years of employment.
• Coursework/Training: JACC Medical Oncology and Physicians Offices:
  • Maintains radiation safety training annually.
  • Maintains conscious sedation education annually.
• Meet the criteria to sit for the NCLEX examination and become licensed in the State of Texas.
• Texas Registered Nurse License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
• TNCC, ENPC - TNCC and ENPC Instructor preferred (for Manager, Pediatric Trauma Program) upon hire
• 3 years of Professional nursing experience.
• 2 years of Clinical experience in specific clinical area.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, for: Staffing Operations Nurse Manager:
• Master's degree in Nursing, for:
  • Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
  • Pediatric Emergency Department.
  • Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit.
• Master's degree for Invasive and Non-Invasive Cardiac Services Education and Research.
• Specialty certification related to practice upon hire
• Provider Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association upon hire
• National oncology certification (OCN), Maintains chemotherapy hospital-based certification every 2 years (for JACC Medical Oncology and Physicians Offices) upon hire
• Supervisory/leadership experience.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
