Junior Sustainability Expert – Center of Expertise team – ING Real Estate Finance BB NL

<p>As a member of the Center of Expertise team (CoE) you will work on the sustainability proposition for the ING Real Estate Finance organization and its clients.</p><p></p><p>ING Real Estate Finance Business Banking NL (“REF BB NL”) wants to be frontrunner in sustainability in the real estate (finance) market. Therefore, we want to continuously create new initiatives and products to help support our clients in tackling this challenge. This must ensure that our clients, and therefore our lending book, are always a step ahead of the sustainability challenge that is facing us. We want to inspire our clients, give them guidance (a.o. via clear target setting) and come up with concrete initiatives to support them in the challenge to become Paris Proof by 2045. You will work on existing and new REF sustainability initiatives (such as Vastgoedbos, Sustainable Loan, Sustainable valuations and free energy scans and labels), assist front office on sustainability discussions with our clients and work on several strategic (sustainability) projects of the REF BB NL organization. Together with other sustainability colleagues within the bank, we have our goal to remain the leading financing platform in the Dutch real estate market for the foreseeable future, specifically on the sustainability topic.</p><p>Within REF BB NL, you will work with a (senior) Sustainability Expert and will be a part of the Center of Expertise team (“CoE”). The CoE team (7 FTE) is, within the REF BB NL organization, responsible for sustainability, marketing &amp; communication, innovation and distribution of loans. The CoE will give you an even broader picture of REF BB NL.</p><p></p><p>Internal/external contacts and nature of contacts</p><p>You will work in a dynamic environment within REF BB NL, with predominantly Dutch clients, yet also several other (international) stakeholders:</p><ul><li>Internal: REF Front Office (Relationship management and Lending Specialists), REF Delivery and Operations, BB Sustainability, WB Sustainable Finance, REF Risk TA&amp;A, Groenbank, Legal</li><li>External: clients, banks, government, European Investment Bank, sustainability advisors and partners of REF</li></ul><p></p><p>Your key responsibilities</p><p>As a Sustainability Expert in the CoE team you have a.o. the following responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Improve and monitor sustainability data handling;</li><li>Support front office in sustainability related discussions with their clients;</li><li>Work on administration of ELENA related projects;</li><li>Support on sustainability reports (both internal and external) of the REF loan portfolio;</li><li>Work on a climate risk assessment of the REF BB NL loan portfolio;</li><li>Visit clients and prospects, for which we set up tailor made client (benchmarking) pitches to advise clients on their sustainability efforts;</li><li>Educate and assist REF BB NL colleagues on sustainability topics;</li><li>Develop a strong network within the relevant Business Banking and Wholesale Banking teams involved in sustainability;</li><li>Come up with new ideas and find ways how we can better support our clients in their sustainability challenge; and</li><li>Assist on several other strategic initiatives of REF BB NL and ING related to sustainability.</li></ul><p></p><p>We are looking for</p><p>We are looking for a colleague with a strong affinity for the sustainability challenge that is facing us.
