Manager, S&G Programs Shared Services Pod Lead

The Shared Services Pod offers strategic advisory services that ensure well managed excellence, a rigorous and high quality experience focus, and data-informed governance and optimization. The team also supports the operations and development of our internal S&G Programs team. 

We are looking for a Pod Lead to guide strategy & delivery of the team.  The ideal candidate has proven experience leading teams and cross-functional team projects and processes in a well-managed way. They should be excited about the opportunity to influence strategic direction and decisions that impact all of S&G Programs using a data-backed approach. We are looking for a strategic thinker who can distill many ideas into a high impact, prioritized set of problem statements, craft a go forward recommendation and project plan for tackling, make prioritization recommendations to the S&G Programs Lead and Leadership Team, and drive work on cross-functional work across S&G Programs, Capital One U, and our broader S&G landscape.  

Key responsibilities of the role will vary and will include: 

• Forge continued connection across our Students & Grads Programs in key focus areas such as demand planning & allocation, data synthesis and recommendations, experience strategy, and S&G team operations

• Partner closely with the Students & Grads Leadership Team and Accountable Executives on change management approaches that influence and drive cross-functional work across S&G Programs

• Refine and optimize our data-backed, consistent approach to evaluate S&G Programs by getting the team on a rhythm and iterating on our starting framework

• Drive the ongoing creation of a consistent, highest quality content library to support Program associate development across all S&G programs

• Support the S&G Programs Lead and Leadership Team to develop a point of view on where the world is going for S&G programs at Capital One and across industry over the next 5-10 years

• Provide best practices on engagement models and stakeholder interaction with key groups who interact with our team

• Lead additional horizontal efforts as they emerge to ensure a consistent experience across the team (ex. Return to Office, compensation changes for S&G program associates, etc.)

• Connect across our S&G Programs teams to drive work including project planning and monitoring, reporting out on results/milestones, and evaluating success

• Lead and guide team engagement activities including AAS analysis, team communications, committees, and our team meeting forums

• Connect across our broader Capital One U team on department-wide initiatives (e.g., TM/PM, communications)

• Serve as a people leader to assist with the above efforts, empowering and inspiring the team to deliver their best work each day

Basic Qualifications:

• At least 4 years of program management, client facing, or consulting experience, or a combination 

• At least 2 years of experience in Google Suite products (Sheets, Slides, Docs)

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of people management experience 

• At least 5 years of program management, client facing, or consulting experience, or a combination 

• At least 3 years of experience in Human Resources or Human Capital Consulting

• Significant experience analyzing metrics, trends, and survey data, and using them to make strategic changes
