The Regional Sales Manager-Lawn & Garden East Division is responsible for ensuring that the company meets its annual sales and gross profit objectives and for coordinating all sales efforts of their team within their assigned sales region. Green Industry experience is required.

Compensation Data: Exempt salary starting at $105k based on experience. Bonus eligible.

Travel: Assigned territory and special events. 60% in office and 40% in the field.

Sales Region: Mid-Atlantic/New England Generally M-F, hours based on business need

Key Responsibilities:

· Execute on specific objectives for the region of responsibility.

· Execute reports as necessary reflecting results of goals.

· Set clear expectations and measure performance for all direct reports.

· Ensure that the Company meets its annual sales and gross profit objectives.

· Set individual sales and gross profit objectives.

· Set territory assignments and adjust as needed

· Identify where the team needs additional resources.

· Help Design sales promotions, spiffs, contests, etc.

· Spend time in the field (15-25%) on a regular basis.

· Help develop agendas and conduct bi-weekly virtual meetings

· Determine trade show participation.

· Monitor team travel and entertainment expenses.

· Assist the Credit Manager as necessary to minimize bad debt. Follow broad based directives.

What you will need to succeed:

Education & Qualifications:

* Green Industry experience required; Lawn & Garden experience preferred (Retail, Distribution, or Manufacturer

* Minimum of five years’ experience in sales required; sales management experience highly preferred.

Competencies:

· Strong customer service and organizational skills

· Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new programs.

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills

· Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

· Knowledge of product lines.

· Participation in local and regional associations.
