Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) is a leading designer and manufacturer of focal plane arrays and flight-based camera systems supporting a myriad of defense, surveillance, space, and weather tracking applications.   The Analyst, Materials, Planning, SIOP functions as an individual contributor.  The prospective hire will perform production control and material control (PCMC) functions in support of programs assembled within the RVS Operations group.

What You Will Do

  • Drive material planning and execution by leveraging MRP/ERP systems to determine requirements, balancing inventory health with program schedules.​
  • Manage build execution from kit to completion by driving warehouse material requests, releasing work orders, and tracking sub-assemblies and top-level assemblies through multiple production centers on the Goleta campus. 
  • Initiate and manage procurement activities through timely release of purchase requisitions, partnering closely with Supply Chain to ensure uninterrupted flow of critical materials.
  • Prepare and distribute regular status updates and reports to inform leadership and program teams.
  • Maintain production accuracy by performing hardware cycle counts in lab environments, verifying availability of sub-assemblies at point of use (POU), and supporting line readiness.
  • Prepare on-time monthly or weekly deliveries adhering to Program MRP demands
  • The position is an onsite role at our Goleta, CA facility.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
  • Experience in manufacturing planning, scheduling, and/or material tracking.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience in production control, manufacturing, logistics, warehouse, packing/shipping, supply chain, material handling/management.
  • Experience with Six Sigma methodology (CORE) and/or tools such as lean manufacturing, diagnostic, process optimization and continuous improvement 
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools to support reporting and decision making.
  • Previous experience interfacing, collaborating, and communicating with all levels of an organization, as well as with a large external customer base, to accomplish tasks.
