About the team:

The Product Analytics team partners closely with the product and engineering teams to develop and test consumer and service provider experiences on our site and app. Our business is a two-sided marketplace of homeowners and service professionals, which makes our jobs complex and data rich. We work daily with the operations and product leadership teams to develop, execute, monitor, and refine initiatives that drive tangible value to homeowners, service professionals, and Angi. Due to the multifaceted nature of the business, our team provides an excellent environment to grow your business acumen, technical knowhow and quantitative skills.

What will you do?

• Learn the complex Angi ecosystem
• Be a valuable partner to the leadership teams across different business units, providing data-driven insight and analysis
• Communicate product health, experiment results, opportunities, etc. to product/business teams.
• Utilize data to identify opportunities for growth, retention, and areas of friction within the product.
• Influence and inform product/business teams through presentation of data-based recommendations.
• Synthesize large data sets into digestible information
• Pursue new approaches to solving problems with creativity and innovation
• Develop your technical skills – particularly in SQL, Tableau, Looker, Adobe Analytics, and Excel.

What qualities are we looking for?

• Studying for a degree in a technical field such as Business Analytics, Engineering, Finance, Economics, etc.
• Anticipated graduation date in December 2023 or May 2024
• Intellectual curiosity balanced with an orientation for getting stuff done
• SQL experience and knowledge of relational databases, Tableau, Looker, Adobe Analytics, and Excel
• Superior analytical, problem-structuring, and problem-solving skills; experience synthesizing data into information, and presenting concise analyses
• Strong grasp of statistics, with experience in statistical languages (R, Python, etc.) a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and willingness to quickly pivot into new tasks as needed
• Ability to validate results of analyses by reconciling with data from other sources 
• Attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and relentless follow through

Compensation & Benefits

• The salary band for this position ranges from $25-$30/hour and will commensurate with experience and performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as cost of living. 
• Internship runs from June 12 – August 18 (10 weeks)
