Position Overview

This position will be responsible for treatment planning with residents, oversee patient treatment with residents in clinic, mentoring residents in Orthodontic treatment, patient screenings with residents and predoc students which serves the purpose of getting new patients into the Grad Ortho Clinic and fulfilling graduation requirements for D3 and D4 students.

In addition, this role will assist the Dean in administrative matters related to areas of responsibility that include, but are not limited to, oversight of the following: serving as the college's point person and having responsibility for accreditation through the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA); working with college leadership to conduct a full curriculum review/revision with an integration of novel pedagogies; partnering with IT to enhance and maintain predoctoral academic EMR strategies as the college transitions to IHIS/EPIC/Wisdom; partnering with the Division Chair of Dental Public Health to expand oral care services throughout the Ohio; supporting faculty development and growth by implementing novel evidence-based teaching and learning practices for the advancement of dental education; and supporting the development of inter-institutional educational collaborations.

Education and Experience Requirements

Qualified candidates must possess a CODA credited orthodontic certificate and a D.D.S./D.M.D. degree, or international equivalent. By the position start date, the candidate must have active Ohio State Dental Board licensure (full/faculty).
