About the role

Responsibilities

The primary purpose of the Medical Records Technician (HIM Quality and Data Analytics) position is to collect, produce, and distribute daily reports to all areas of Health Information Management. This includes maintaining and tracking any software issues and reporting them to HIM Management.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in medical records related work required, or completion of at least one (1) year and continued enrollment in a Health Information Management or Health Information Technology (HIM or HIT) program will be considered in lieu of experience. Prior experience and/or use of an encoder (Clintegrity 360) and Epic electronic health record a plus. Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English and have good oral and written communication skills. Must have the ability to perform job function, follow directions, and make decisions without direct supervision. Must have a working knowledge of computers and be able to navigate the internet. Must be proficient at using Windows and Microsoft Office, especially with the use of Excel, Outlook, and shared files as daily tools. Must be detail oriented, display a high level of accuracy, and be organized. Must demonstrate professionalism, tact, and diplomacy in dealing with internal and external customers. May be required to work evenings and weekends.
