In this position...
What you'll do...
- Collaborating with Hardware Engineers, PCB Designers and the Mechanical Engineering Lead to engineer and design mechanical parts and assemblies for Vehicle Electronic Modules
- Design Vehicle Mounting Brackets for various Electronic Modules
- Work with Vehicle Packaging Engineers to ensure Module Packaging Specifications are followed in vehicle mounting/placement of the Module
You'll have...
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent
- 15+ years of experience in a product design environment
- 15+ years of experience using a 3D CAD Tool – (Catia Preferred)
Even better, you may have...
- Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 15+ years of experience designing mechanical components.
- Experience with electronic cooling
- Ability to create 2D prints using GD&T
- Experience with Catia 3D Solid Modeling Software
- Experience with Team Center
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PPT, Word...)
- Demonstrated team player as well as self-motivated.
- Ability to communicate effectively with peers, internal and external teams.
- Comfortable with traveling domestically and internationally to work with suppliers of Mechanical Components
- High attention to detail
- Ability to modify/re-work parts with basic prototyping tools (end mill, band saw, drill press, etc…)
