Job Description

As a Airport Security Officer - Dispatcher in Kahului, HI, you will serve and safeguard the airport, it's facilities, travelers, and ensure the safety and security of airport operations. you’ll be the communication hub of our aviation security operations. You’ll coordinate real-time responses, monitor systems, and dispatch officers to where they’re needed most.

Position Type: Full Time - Afternoon 

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.93. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Requirements 

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in call taking, dispatching, and CCTV monitoring
  • Security Experience: 1+ years
  • 21+ years of age
  • Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
  • Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)
  • NOTE: First two months in this position will be working various posts for best geography and familiarization on airport property

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to travelers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns, requesting assistance, and supporting emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of terminals, walkways, public areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter prohibited activity and/or unauthorized access.
  • Monitor access points and restricted-area boundaries, check identification and/or credentials as required by post orders, and direct individuals to appropriate checkpoints or services.
  • Complete required patrol logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
