Sr. Cash Auditor

      BASIC PURPOSE: The primary purpose of the Sr. Cash Auditor is to support the store audit function within the audit team. This position will be responsible for assisting stores and team with simple to complex cash over/short questions and issues. This includes cash recycler training and store cash issue resolution. In addition, this role will be required to assist Supervisor with designing and implementing procedures and internal controls.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with stores in resolving outstanding cash variance issues
• Assist stores with resolving outstanding cash variance issues by performing Store Audit tasks
• Work with and communicate with internal and external teams on issues in a clear and consistent manner
• Work with Supervisor in training team members over new and existing processes and procedures.
• Work as the initial escalation point for team questions regarding existing processes and complex scenarios
• Help to encourage and foster a positive team environment Assist in reviewing and updating current and future procedures to improve training
• Audit the Auditor
• Work with Supervisor in development, testing, and implementation of future enhancements that increase accuracy and efficiency of Store Audit processes
• Work with Supervisor to identify underlying cash variance issues and assist in resolving through developing sound internal controls
• Recon Adjustment review
• Develop, implement, and monitor KPI targets and goals for internal and external parties
• Month End Closing duties include:
  • Prepay Recon Journal Entry
  • Fuel Ticket Variance Upload
  • ReconNet Cash Over/Short Journal Entry
  • Store Auditors Deposit Adjustments Journal Entry
  • Auditors Fuel Adjustments Journal Entry
  • Miscellaneous Adjustments as Needed
• Analyze and Adjust Store Level Missing Fuel Sales
• Other duties as assigned

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience:
  • 1-3 years experience in accounting is preferred
  • 1-3 years customer service experience is preferred

 

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Skills:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel, SAP, AS400
  • High level of direct customer contact requiring excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability and desire to work in a team environment
• Typical Physical Demands:
  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision
