Job Description
The Associate Director will assist in identifying opportunities for AI solutions to enhance AbbVie’s clinical and development performance while aligning with the overarching R&D AI framework and priorities. As part of the CDO Capabilities Team, the role will focus on supporting initiatives that drive speed, performance, quality, and efficiency in clinical trials. The Associate Director will collaborate with scientists, clinicians, study teams, data scientists, and AI specialists to lead projects involving AI solutions. Reporting into the Director, Clinical Artificial Intelligence, the role supports the broader coordination of efforts across AbbVie R&D teams to ensure impactful contributions to AbbVie's pipeline.
Responsibilities:
- Drive strategy and execution of AI solutions to enhance clinical trial performance and efficiency, with oversight from a Director.
- Translate clinical and therapeutic needs into AI-driven solutions under the guidance of senior leaders.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to lead AI projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Coordinate AI initiatives, ensuring integration with existing programs and strategic alignment.
- Support resource allocation, budget management, and project deliverables to achieve desired outcomes.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer and best practices for AI applications within clinical settings.
- Stay informed about emerging AI methodologies to support strategic decision-making.
- Provide assistance in consulting on AI integration within therapeutic areas, addressing clinical challenges.
- Contribute to developing the digital skills and acumen of team members in line with strategic goals
