Summary of Job Duties:

• Possess the ability to work well with students
• Tutor in English composition I and II and Literature
• Ability to provide personalized attention in the areas of writing, grammar, proper citation and utilizing references for general writing skills.
• Assist in topics using time management, goalsetting, learning styles, blackboard, Library resources.
• Assist and conduct class pre- and post- assessments.
• Help maintain cleanliness of the tutor lab to meet CDC Guidelines before and after class.
• Document students individual progress maintain student attendance records.
• Contact supervisor in advance when unable to come in for work.
• Perform other Duties as requested.


Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in education, math or related field-Masters preferred

Two or more years teaching on the college level-preferred

Experience developing curriculum-preferred

Demonstrate the ability to use basic computer programs that are applicable in a college setting.

Salary Information:

$15-$18 per hour, depending on educational background
